~1 Week in 1 Post~

GEEZ Sheradyn! Is it really that hard to keep to a simple schedule?! You haven’t posted in over a week!

Well alternate Sheradyn who is pretending to be her own readers, as you may know I’ve been sick this past week. Quite disastrously so. Seriously I couldn’t possibly count how many pieces of tissue I used in this past hellish week.

On the plus side I was able to lounge on the couch and binge watch lots of shows on Netflix!

So to make it up to you my oh so loyal readers I shall write each post I missed starting with last Monday!

MONDAY ♫~Stuck on Repeat~♫

Do I Wanna Know by the Arctic Monkeys (GREAT BAND!)

TUESDAY ~Movie Tuesday~

After my extensive relationship with the couch and Netflix this week I have new arsenal of mediocre movies but one film I watch was absolutely tremendous!

A Long Way Down.

This movie takes you on a journey of depression and suicide without making you feel depressed. It has the perfect blend of quirky, feel-good, sad, and heart-warming. I definitely recommend this movie! It’s on instant streaming on Netflix!

WEDNESDAY ~Hey Sheradyn, How’s Life?~

I was sick.

nuff said.

THURSDAY~Currently Reading~

I am/was currently reading The Help by Kathryn Stockett.

A little late on the bandwagon, eh?

Actually, it’s not really my choice to read it since it’s required reading for my English class (It never really interested me).

FRIDAY~Miscellaneous Friday~

Well, I enjoyed this quote quite thoroughly.

I’m gonna do my movie review in a separate post. Easier for me to organize. As it is, I have no clue how sort this post…

I hope this makes up for my lack of posting the past week. :)

Have a marvelous day!

~TV Review: Outlander~

Soo I may or may not have forgotten until now to post today! Oops.

For today’s review, I bring you a new Starz TV show called Outlander.

(Sorry it’s a bit blurry)

I didn’t go into this show with much of an expectation but I am so far thoroughly impressed.

Outlander follows the life of Claire Randall as she is thrown back in time from the 1940s to the 1400s during the Scottish and British war. She finds herself in many intense situations and with many unusual allies.

This show takes you on a whirlwind of emotions and the plot seems to never do as you think it would.
~disclaimer~ This show has violence, nudity, and graphic sexual situations, so if that bothers you I definitely do not suggest you watch it.

Otherwise Outlander is so far an amazing show. Plus it’s set in Scotland so you get to hear all their awesome accents!

I hope everyone’s Saturday was great and if you watch Outlander tell me what you think of it!
I’ll post again Monday!

Weekly Schedule!

You don’t even need to say it.

Please don’t say it.

I can’t take your thoughts of judgement!

I know…

I KNOW!

Apparently I have some major commitment issues. I KNOW I said I was back and that I wasn’t being eaten by giant Human-Piranhas and that’s still true, but instead of giant, and probably creepy looking, fish things, I am being slowly torn apart by college professors, writing assignments, late night astronomy classes, and my, hopefully, normal need for social interaction. In other words, college is a lot more work than I thought and I NEED FRIENDS.

So enough of my excuses! I have devised a plan to keep up with this beautiful blog, though it doesn’t necessarily involve books every day. It’s just a simple schedule that I intend to keep that forces me to interact with SherTheFeels :)

Monday: ~Songs on Repeat~ (Basically just songs I’m enjoying at the moment.)

Tuesday: ~Movie Tuesday!~ (Movies that are in theaters that I’ve seen or that I’d like to see or any movies that I recommend)

Wednesday: ~Hey, Sheradyn! How’s Life?~ (I intend for this to be a general life update and/or funny everyday stories).

Thursday: ~Currently Reading~ (What I’m currently reading and/or what is currently en route + book shelf update…possibly.)

Friday: Miscellaneous. (Basically whatever else I feel like posting.)

Saturday: ~Book/Movie Review~ (One review a week. That’s do-able.)

I swear on my new bookshelves and all the books that it contains that I will keep to this schedule. (Given that the zombie apocalypse doesn’t begin any time soon. )

Enjoy your day!

Is it just me. . .?

Is it just me, or does it seem that the lyrics to Monster by Imagine Dragons basically describes the plot of every paranormal romance novel?

Lyrics:

Ever since I could remember,
Everything inside of me,
Just wanted to fit in (oh oh oh oh)
I was never one for pretenders,
Everything I tried to be,
Just wouldn’t settle in (oh oh oh oh)

If I told you what I was,
Would you turn your back on me?
And if I seem dangerous,
Would you be scared?
I get the feeling just because,
Everything I touch isn’t dark enough
If this problem lies in me

I’m only a man with a candle to guide me,
I’m taking a stand to escape what’s inside me.
A monster, a monster,
I’ve turned into a monster,
A monster, a monster,
And it keeps getting stronger.

Can I clear my conscience,
If I’m different from the rest,
Do I have to run and hide? (oh oh oh oh)
I never said that I want this,
This burden came to me,
And it’s made it’s home inside (oh oh oh oh)

If I told you what I was,
Would you turn your back on me?
And if I seem dangerous,
Would you be scared?
I get the feeling just because,
Everything I touch isn’t dark enough
If this problem lies in me

I’m only a man with a candle to guide me,
I’m taking a stand to escape what’s inside me.
A monster, a monster,
I’ve turned into a monster,
A monster, a monster,
And it keeps getting stronger.

I’m only a man with a candle to guide me,
I’m taking a stand to escape what’s inside me.
A monster, a monster,
I’ve turned into a monster,
A monster, a monster,
And it keeps getting stronger.

Time to Read, Yo!

After a long,  grueling day at school today, I finally get home and am able to kick off my shoes and relax. I want nothing more than to stuff my face with some delicious food, put on my Care Bear Pj’s and crawl into my usual nook to read a book. Instead, my mother goes on and on asking me questions that don’t really matter like, “How was your day honey?” or “What do you want for dinner?”, or better yet, “I just got paid, do you want $100?”. I mean, who asks questions like that? Horrible peasants, that’s who! So I answer her stupid questions and then she says, “Hey Sheradyn, you should apply for a job somewhere, you have too much time to read”. . . Too much time to read . . . Too much time to read . . . Too much time to read . . . TOO MUCH TIME TO READ!  God, the nerve of that woman . . .
